Finance Officer (2-Month Temporary Contract)

About the role

We are looking for a Finance Officer to join our client’s finance team on a two‑month temporary contract. The role provides essential support for transaction processing, financial controls, grants administration and reporting, ensuring smooth finance operations throughout the assignment.

Key responsibilities

• Process financial transactions accurately and in line with internal policies and funding requirements.
• Maintain and improve financial controls, ensuring proper authorisation and audit trails.
• Review transaction listings, identify corrections, and resolve discrepancies in project fund statements.
• Prepare and distribute project and grant expenditure reports, supporting budget monitoring and variance analysis.
• Assist with accruals, reversals, and ensure correct period‑ending entries.
• Provide general support for finance and grants activities, including audit preparation and stakeholder queries.

Required profile

• Experienced finance professional able to integrate quickly into a busy team.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Good organisational skills for maintaining accurate financial records.
