Finance Officer

About the role
The Finance Officer will join the Business Support Team at Cranbrook Education Campus, a vibrant all‑through school in Exeter. You will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting the school’s budgeting processes, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Process invoices, purchase orders, and payments in line with school policies.
- Assist with the preparation of budgets, forecasts and financial reports.
- Maintain and reconcile ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Provide financial information and advice to staff, suppliers and other stakeholders.
- Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with safeguarding and DBS requirements.

- Highly organised, proactive and professional approach.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and willingness to undergo enhanced DBS checks.

- Competitive salary of £26,824 – £29,540 per year (actual salary £24,846 – £27,362).
- Full‑time permanent role – 37 hours per week across 42 weeks.
