Finance Officer – Temporary Contract (Hybrid)

About the role

We are recruiting a Finance Officer on a temporary basis to support a busy public‑sector organisation delivering education services. The role offers a varied mix of finance administration, data handling and budgeting within a collaborative team.

Key responsibilities

• Process and maintain financial records and transactions
• Prepare budget reports and financial information
• Reconcile and process invoices
• Monitor financial and performance data, investigating discrepancies
• Maintain accurate records in line with policies and procedures
• Support wider administrative and business activities as needed
• Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders professionally

Required profile

• Previous experience in finance or accounts administration
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience processing invoices, reconciliations and financial records
• Good IT proficiency, especially with Microsoft Excel
• Ability to prioritise a busy workload and work independently
• Effective communication and organisational skills

What we offer
