Finance Operations Manager – 6‑Month Fixed‑Term (Hybrid)

About the role

We are looking for a Finance Operations Manager to lead the day‑to‑day financial activities of the London office of a leading international law firm. This six‑month fixed‑term position is hybrid, allowing you to work both on‑site and remotely while supporting partners, lawyers and senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily financial operations, ensuring compliance with firm policies and SRA regulations.
• Produce regular financial analysis, highlighting trends, risks and performance opportunities.
• Collaborate with partners and lawyers to develop and deliver financial plans.
• Manage billing processes and ensure timely collections.
• Monitor working capital, cash flow and operational liquidity.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, including the annual SRA audit.
• Represent the London office in global finance initiatives and projects.
• Provide operational support to the COFA to maintain regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Degree in accounting, finance or a related field; ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualification preferred.
• Proven experience in a senior finance role within an international law‑firm environment.
• Strong understanding of financial operations, controls and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of the Elite 3E finance system.
