Finance Placement – 12‑Month Internship in Stevenage

About the role

Join the Finance team at Airbus Defence and Space for a 12‑month placement in Stevenage. You will work on live financial modelling, reporting and operational finance processes within a large‑scale aerospace and defence environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review and analyse financial data to identify trends and cost‑saving opportunities.
• Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable and day‑to‑day bookkeeping.
• Compile data for regular budgets, forecasts and management reports.
• Process statement reconciliations across bank, supplier and customer accounts.

Required profile

• Studying towards a degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
• Strong teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work autonomously, meet tight deadlines and maintain quality.
• Logical, analytical approach and curiosity about the wider business picture.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with financial modelling.
