Finance Solicitor (Surety) – 5+ PQE, London

About the role

Join a market‑leading team advising global insurers on complex domestic and international finance transactions. You will work on high‑value surety deals, gaining exposure to a specialised market with a clear pathway to partnership.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate facility agreements, recourse arrangements, guarantees and on‑demand bond documentation.
• Prepare security documentation, intercreditor agreements and risk participation arrangements.
• Collaborate with restructuring and disputes teams to support client distress matters and claims under guarantees and bonds.
• Lead transactions, manage client relationships and provide full‑service advice throughout the deal lifecycle.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 5 years PQE.
• Strong background in banking, finance, project finance or surety work.
• Commercial awareness and ability to build long‑term client relationships.
• Motivation to develop expertise in the specialist surety market.

Required skills

• Experience with LMA documentation.
• Knowledge of facility agreements, guarantees and bond documentation.
• Familiarity with intercreditor and risk participation agreements.
