Finance Specialist

About the role

MediaTek is looking for a Finance Specialist to cover the financial operations of its multi-entity group in the EU region and Egypt. The role covers financial reporting, budget planning, tax compliance, auditing and internal controls, in a fast-paced, global setting. The position is based in Cambourne.

Key responsibilities

• General accounting: manage the full cycle of accounts payable, employee reimbursement, procurement, fixed assets and payment processing through the ERP system
• Monthly and quarterly closing and reporting, reconciling general ledger accounts and keeping audit-ready documentation
• Tax and audit compliance: prepare, review and submit statutory tax filings for each region, and act as the main contact for internal and external auditors
• Prepare financial reporting packages, OPEX analysis and management review reports
• Improve accounting policies and procedures to strengthen internal controls, coordinate global project roll-outs and organise user training

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or a related field
• Proven experience in finance/accounting managing complex financial operations or projects
• Experience in a multinational company with headquarters overseas
• Fluency in multiple languages is a plus

Required skills

• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; SAP preferred
• Strong communication and presentation skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams globally
