Finance Systems Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Finance Systems Accountant to act as the bridge between our finance function, the technology team and external developers. Reporting to Peter, you will drive system implementations, improve processes and support automation initiatives across the finance department.

Key responsibilities

• Define scope and requirements for new finance systems and features.
• Document and implement new financial processes and workflows.
• Organise and deliver business training for finance systems.
• Collaborate with third‑party developers and suppliers to ensure successful system integrations.
• Manage a management accountant, providing guidance and support.
• Lead finance system implementations while respecting budget constraints.
• Drive continuous improvement, automation and AI initiatives within finance systems.
• Oversee migration of the Sun accounting system to the cloud.
• Enhance features and functionality of the Jedox budgeting and forecasting tool.

Required profile

• Proven experience in finance system implementation.
• Strong knowledge of management and financial accounts.
• Ability to act as a bridge between technical and financial teams.
• Proactive attitude towards identifying and delivering system improvements.
• Ideally, previous line‑management experience.
