Finance Systems Analyst - 6 Months Contract - Sun Systems Essential

About the role

This 6‑month contract position supports a large organisation undergoing a major ERP transformation. The role is primarily remote with occasional visits to a North London office, providing hands‑on support for legacy finance systems while ensuring business continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the first‑line support contact for legacy finance systems, maintaining smooth operation of critical processes.
• Manage user access, approval workflows, cost‑centre structures and overall system administration across multiple finance platforms.
• Respond to and resolve user queries, system issues and data errors promptly.
• Perform routine system maintenance, file uploads and data validation activities.
• Collaborate with Finance, IT and external providers to investigate issues and implement improvements.
• Support finance system governance, ensuring data integrity and robust controls.
• Assist the wider finance transformation programme, including integration and implementation tasks.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance user experience.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience supporting Sun Systems (Infor SunSystems) – essential.
• Background in finance system administration rather than purely end‑user usage.
• Experience with a Purchase‑to‑Pay (P2P) system; exposure to IPOS is highly advantageous.
• Proven analytical and problem‑solving abilities with independent troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence to support a wide range of stakeholders.
• Proactive, able to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
• Experience in finance system implementations or ERP transformation programmes is a plus.
