Finance Systems Consultant – Aderant (London)

About the role

The firm is seeking a Finance Systems Consultant with deep expertise in the Aderant practice and finance management system. This six‑month fixed‑term contract (potentially permanent) will focus on leading the firm’s Aderant platform, driving enhancements, and aligning technology with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, oversee, maintain and enhance the Aderant Practice and Finance Management System.
• Shape the strategic vision for the PMS, ensuring alignment with regulatory and business requirements.
• Drive system improvements and technology upgrades across the organisation.
• Manage delivery phases, overseeing timelines, resources and stakeholder expectations.
• Collaborate with Finance, IT, Legal Operations and external partners to deliver robust solutions.

Required profile

• 6+ years managing and maintaining financial systems in a law firm.
• Proven Aderant expertise (Aderant Expert).
• Experience leading system implementations, migrations or major upgrades.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and legal finance operations.
• Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience leading a team.
• Knowledge of both on‑prem and cloud‑hosted applications.

What we offer

• Starting salary of £80,000 – £100,000 per year.
