Finance Systems Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Systems Manager to lead the finance workstream of a major SAP implementation while strengthening financial controls across the business. The role is highly visible, hybrid, and works closely with the Finance Director, operational teams and external partners to deliver a successful system rollout.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the finance lead throughout the SAP implementation project.
• Collaborate with external consultants and internal stakeholders to ensure a successful system rollout.
• Map and redesign finance processes to maximise efficiency within SAP.
• Support data migration, validation and reconciliation activities.
• Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and resolve finance‑related system issues.
• Develop new finance procedures and embed best practice.
• Deliver training and ongoing support to finance users.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve reporting capabilities.
• Support the production of accurate monthly management accounts and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Monitor performance against budget and provide variance analysis.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow reporting.

Required profile

• Experienced finance professional with strong technical accounting knowledge.
• Passion for systems, process improvement and change management.
• Previous involvement in an SAP implementation, upgrade or finance‑systems transformation project.
• Strong understanding of finance operations, financial controls and reporting.
