Finance Systems Officer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Finance Systems Officer to lead the migration from Sage to QuickBooks and ensure seamless finance operations during this transition. Working closely with the Finance Team and Head of Compliance, you will configure the new system, maintain parallel records, and provide day‑to‑day financial support.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and configure QuickBooks, including workflows, approval processes and Chart of Accounts.
• Maintain parallel financial records in Sage and QuickBooks throughout the migration.
• Assist with data migration, system testing, reconciliations and month‑end closing.
• Develop and test management reports and variance analysis.
• Train finance staff on the new system and provide ongoing support.
• Handle sales ledger, purchase ledger, audit preparation, VAT and general finance activities.

Required profile

• AAT Level 4 or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience in a finance environment with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and support colleagues through change.
• Desirable: experience with finance system implementations or migrations and studying towards ACCA, CIMA, ACA or similar.

Required skills

• QuickBooks implementation and configuration.
• Sage Line 50 operation.
• Advanced Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables.

What we offer

• 6‑month fixed‑term contract (36 hours per week).
• Salary of £30,000 per year.
