Finance Systems Officer – QuickBooks Migration

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Finance Systems Officer to lead the migration from Sage to QuickBooks and ensure continuity of finance operations during a period of change. You will work closely with the Finance Team and Head of Compliance, providing system setup, testing, data validation, reporting and staff training.

Key responsibilities

• Support the implementation and configuration of QuickBooks, including workflow and approval process design.
• Set up and maintain the Chart of Accounts and parallel records in Sage and QuickBooks.
• Assist with data migration, system testing, reconciliations and month‑end processes.
• Develop and test management reports and variance analysis.
• Train and support staff on the new system.
• Maintain budget data, perform variance analysis and support sales and purchase ledgers.
• Assist with audit preparation, VAT and general finance activities.

Required profile

• AAT Level 4 or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience in a finance environment.
• Strong knowledge of Sage Line 50 and QuickBooks.
• Experience with reconciliations, month‑end processes and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and support colleagues through change.
