Finance Team Leader

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Team Leader to join our finance department in Luton. This permanent role combines hands‑on financial duties with the supervision of a small team, ensuring smooth daily operations and compliance with regulations. Hybrid working is available, offering flexibility while maintaining a strong on‑site presence.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain monthly cashbooks and complete bank reconciliations.
• Post journals and maintain the nominal ledger.
• Supervise sales and purchase ledger activities.
• Support rent collection and reconciliations.
• Assist with fixed asset management.
• Handle finance queries and governance activities.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations.

Required profile

• At least two years’ experience in a busy finance environment.
• Experience using accounting and payroll systems.
• Strong reconciliation and ledger management abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to supervise and support team members.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

What we offer

• Salary up to £35,000 per annum.
