Finance Transactions Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced finance professional to lead our transactional finance function. This role combines hands‑on financial operations with team leadership, offering the chance to shape processes and drive efficiency within a respected organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Own accounts payable, accounts receivable, rent accounting and cash management, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Lead and develop a small finance team, fostering high performance and cohesion.
• Oversee month‑end closing, balance‑sheet reconciliations and reporting of key financial metrics.
• Manage relationships with auditors, tax advisers, vendors and other external stakeholders.
• Drive process improvements, implement KPIs and maintain robust internal controls.
• Supervise VAT, banking and financial system operations to ensure data integrity.

Required profile

• CCAB‑qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience managing transactional finance teams and complex reconciliations.
• Strong knowledge of VAT and ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to present financial information clearly.
• Proactive, hands‑on problem‑solver with leadership capability.
