Financial Accountant (1st Time Mover From Practice)

About the role

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant making the first move from practice to a corporate finance team. You will join a collaborative Group Finance function, supporting quarterly, interim and annual reporting while working closely with senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Support the planning and delivery of quarterly financial reporting cycles, interim reporting and annual financial statements.
• Assist with group consolidation activities and preparation of subsidiary statutory accounts.
• Prepare draft financial reporting outputs, board papers and supporting documentation.
• Act as a key contact for external auditors, coordinating information requests and supporting audit activities.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve reporting processes, controls and efficiencies.

Required profile

• Qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA) making a first move from practice.
• Experience preparing and/or auditing statutory financial statements.
• Understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards and regulated reporting processes.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
