Financial Accountant – First Time Mover (12‑month FTC)

About the role

We are seeking an ACA‑qualified Financial Accountant to make their first move from practice into industry. This 12‑month fixed‑term position is hybrid, offering two days in the Cheltenham office and three days remote work, and provides a solid foundation in commercial finance within a high‑performing team.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
• Assist with statutory accounts and year‑end audit processes.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations and support month‑end close.
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting cycles.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver financial insight and identify process improvements.

Required profile

• ACA qualified (or newly qualified) accountant.
• Currently working in a practice environment and ready to transition to industry.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proactive, organised and motivated to develop a commercial finance career.
