Financial Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an International Financial Accountant to join our finance team in London. The role is hybrid and involves month‑end and year‑end activities, management reporting, and supporting the finance manager with ad‑hoc analysis. You will work closely with sales, accounts payable and other stakeholders to ensure accurate financial data.

Key responsibilities

• Execute month‑end and year‑end processes, including accruals, pre‑payments, fixed assets, FX journals and AP reconciliations.
• Produce weekly and monthly sales reports for regional sales leads.
• Prepare balance‑sheet reconciliation packs for finance manager review.
• Calculate sales commissions for Europe and AP‑MEA regions, handle queries and process payments.
• Manage credit control activities, chase aged debts and liaise with sales leads.
• Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns and support year‑end audit pack preparation.
• Assist the finance manager with ad‑hoc analysis and reporting tool uploads.

Required profile

• Strong Excel skills.
• Solid understanding of double‑entry bookkeeping.
• Experience working in a multi‑currency environment.
• Hands‑on experience with VAT return preparation.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
• Willingness to contribute to a progressive finance team.
