Financial Accountant

About the role

Our client, a growing investment group, is looking for a Financial Accountant to join their finance team in Salford. Reporting to the Group Financial Accounting Manager, you will support accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance and cash‑flow management across the group.

Key responsibilities

• Support month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end reporting processes.
• Prepare consolidation workbooks and supporting schedules for group reporting.
• Assist with annual and half‑year audits, ensuring timely delivery of financial information.
• Prepare statutory accounts for group entities.
• Prepare and reconcile balance‑sheet and cash‑flow reports, including forecasting.
• Assist with quarterly VAT returns and liaise with HMRC.
• Support cash‑flow forecasting across portfolios and the wider group.
• Assist with corporation tax compliance and work with external tax advisors.
• Build relationships with internal finance teams, auditors, company secretaries and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to finance improvement projects and wider business initiatives.

Required profile

• Newly qualified ACA or ACCA accountant.
• Strong understanding of statutory reporting, audit and taxation.
• Experience preparing financial reports and working with compliance requirements.
• Motivated, detail‑oriented and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
