About the role
Ambient People is partnering with a local authority to bring on an interim Financial Accountant. The role adds capacity to the closing team and supports the Chief Accountant with the year‑end audit and the preparation of the annual statement of accounts. You will work in a small, collaborative team and gain exposure to a variety of accounting areas.
Key responsibilities
- Support the Chief Accountant with the year‑end audit.
- Assist in preparing and delivering the annual statement of accounts.
- Add capacity to the closing team during the financial year‑end period.
- Work across various areas of the statement of accounts within a small team.
Required profile
- CCAB or CIMA qualified (or part‑qualified) Financial Accountant.
- Experience preparing year‑end accounts, preferably for a local authority.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for working with numbers.
