Financial Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to join our finance team in East London. The role involves managing financial planning, reporting and compliance within a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Financial planning and management accounting
• General accounting and financial reporting
• Fixed‑asset and project accounting
• Developing and managing financial operating procedures
• Supervising and developing finance staff
• Ensuring compliance with IFRS, tax legislation and audit requirements

Required profile

• BCom Accounting or equivalent qualification
• Minimum 8 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction
• Professional registration with CIMA, SAICA or SAIPA is advantageous
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, VAT, income tax legislation, audit requirements and SARS depreciation rules
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
• Excellent communication, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
• High level of professionalism, confidentiality and integrity
• Own reliable transport
