Financial Accountant – Leeds (Hybrid)

About the role

Our client, a diversified real‑estate group, is expanding its finance team in Leeds. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Financial Accountant will support month‑end, year‑end and business‑partnering activities across a portfolio of residential, commercial and mixed‑use assets.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reporting packs.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations and profit‑and‑loss analysis.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow reporting.
• Coordinate the external audit process and liaise with advisers.
• Produce financial commentary and variance analysis for stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and internal controls.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified accountant.
• Training within a Big 4 or Top 20/50 accountancy practice with an external audit background.
• Industry experience in property development, real estate, construction or a related sector is advantageous.
• Strong financial reporting and analytical abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.

What we offer

• Salary range £48,000 – £55,000 per year.
