Financial Accountant – Private Equity (3‑Month Contract)

About the role

A highly successful private investment firm is seeking a qualified Financial Accountant for an initial 3‑month rolling contract, with the potential to extend. This role offers broad exposure within a fast‑paced, high‑performing financial services environment for an ambitious accountant with 2‑5 years post‑qualified experience.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial accounts, balance‑sheet reconciliations, posting journals and month‑end close.
• Maintain a strong financial control environment.
• Produce VAT returns.
• Prepare process flow notes.
• Support statutory reporting and the year‑end audit process.
• Produce insightful financial analysis and management information.
• Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and reporting.
• Support regulatory reporting and other finance projects.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA, CPA or CIMA qualified – preferably audit trained.
• 2‑5 years post‑qualified experience.
• Strong financial accounting and control background.
• Experience in financial services such as investment management, private equity, banking or asset management.
• Proactive approach to process improvement.
• Confident communicator who enjoys collaborative, high‑performing teams.
