Financial Analyst – Finance Director Support

About the role

The client, a leading insurer in the London market, is seeking a Financial Analyst to support the Finance Director. The role offers an excellent opportunity for an early‑career finance professional to develop analytical, reporting and governance skills while working with international subsidiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly and annual reporting cycles – data collection, consolidation and variance analysis.
• Produce trend analyses, scenario comparisons and basic financial models.
• Maintain finance trackers, dashboards and key performance indicators.
• Assist in preparing board packs, management presentations and ad‑hoc analysis.
• Liaise with finance teams in Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and other group entities to coordinate reporting deadlines.
• Track statutory filings, audit and tax calendars and support documentation for auditors and regulators.
• Provide executive admin support – calendar management, meeting coordination, minutes and action tracking.
• Maintain organized SharePoint folders, version control and secure handling of confidential registers.
• Contribute to budgeting cycles, process improvements and data gathering for M&A due diligence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical capability and solid understanding of financial statements.
• Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail.
• Discreet handling of confidential information.
• Confident communicator able to coordinate across teams and countries.
