Financial Controller (12‑month FTC)

About the role

We are seeking a Financial Controller on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract to join the group finance function of a PE‑backed manufacturing business in London. The role will focus on developing accounting policies, ensuring consistent financial reporting across the group, and driving governance and transformation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, document and roll out Group accounting policies, guaranteeing uniform application across all entities.
• Lead strategic finance transformation projects, including the standardisation of functional reporting structures.
• Identify and implement process, system and reporting enhancements to improve efficiency, automation and financial insight.
• Support technical accounting, policy formulation, and continuous improvement activities within the finance team.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant with a deep understanding of IFRS.
• Experience in manufacturing accounting, covering inventory, absorption costing and cost classification.
• Proficiency with current financial software.
• Immediate availability.
