Financial Controller (ACA/ACCA) – £75k-£85k + Bonus

About the role

Axon Moore is partnering with a fast‑growing private‑equity backed business to hire a Financial Controller. This brand‑new position will support the CFO in scaling the company across the UK and internationally, offering a clear pathway to a future Finance Director role.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the monthly close process for multiple legal entities.
• Manage group consolidation, balance‑sheet reconciliations and financial controls.
• Produce monthly management accounts, board packs and insightful financial analysis.
• Oversee multi‑currency accounting, intercompany reconciliations and cash‑flow reporting.
• Support statutory reporting, year‑end audit and compliance requirements.
• Mentor and develop the finance team while partnering with senior stakeholders on commercial decisions.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) with strong technical expertise.
• Experience in complex, multi‑entity environments and international reporting.
• Proven leadership and people‑management capability.
• Background in high‑growth, private‑equity or acquisitive businesses.
