Financial Controller – EMEA

About the role

We are partnering with a global organisation that supports leading brands across the EMEA region. The Financial Controller will join a high‑performing finance team on a six‑month fixed‑term contract, responsible for accurate financial reporting, strengthening controls and supporting strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the month‑end close for multiple EMEA entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Oversee accounting activities including revenue recognition, payroll, fixed assets, lease accounting, operating expenses and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations and supporting documentation prepared by the wider team.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and US GAAP requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, controls and reporting quality.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP.
• Previous experience in a finance leadership or accounting management role within a complex, multi‑entity or international environment.
• Professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent.
• Significant accounting experience with ownership of month‑end reporting processes.
