Financial Controller – Exeter

About the role

We are seeking a Financial Controller to join a rapidly growing business on the outskirts of Exeter. This permanent, full‑time position sits on the senior leadership team and will drive the finance function as the company expands.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the finance function.
• Produce monthly management accounts and board reports.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow.
• Provide financial analysis to support strategic decisions.
• Oversee audit, statutory reporting and compliance.
• Handle company secretarial duties and governance.
• Develop financial controls, systems and processes.
• Support business growth initiatives and strategic projects.

Required profile

• Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant.
• Proven experience at Financial Controller level, preferably in a fast‑paced commercial environment.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to influence stakeholders.
• Hands‑on approach with strategic thinking capability.
