Financial Controller – Finance Manager for Tech Organisation

About the role

This permanent, full‑time position is with a fast‑growing specialist technology business in Crewe. Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller, you will lead the finance function for a new revenue pillar, ensuring accurate and timely financial information for commercial decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Produce and oversee management accounts for the group.
• Investigate budget variances and support corrective actions.
• Line‑manage the finance team, handling workloads, PDRs and appraisals.
• Manage treasury activities and cash‑flow forecasting.
• Develop and improve finance systems and processes.
• Oversee payroll processing and verify monthly transactions.
• Coordinate the production of the annual group budget.
• Maintain day‑to‑day financial control systems and staff training.
• Lead the audit process and prepare documentation for external auditors.
• Assist in KPI reporting and help managers understand performance drivers.
