Financial Controller – Finance Team Leader

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Financial Controller to lead and develop our finance team in Poole. Working on‑site in modern offices, you will partner with senior leadership to make finance a true business partner while supporting the company’s growth and change.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team, establishing clear structure and progression.
• Own the delivery of accurate and timely monthly and year‑end financial reporting.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to provide insight for strategic and operational decisions.
• Strengthen financial controls, ensure compliance and improve reporting accuracy.
• Drive process improvements and implement more efficient systems and workflows.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis across the business.
• Manage cash flow, working capital and key banking relationships.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant with proven experience as a Financial Controller or in senior finance leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to develop teams and improve finance processes, systems and controls.
• Commercially aware with strong communication skills and confidence to influence stakeholders.
