Financial Controller & FP&A Manager

About the role

The client, a leading multi‑site manufacturing and engineering group in the aerospace sector, is seeking a Financial Controller & FP&A Manager. Reporting to the CFO, you will bridge central finance leadership with operational sites, providing strategic insight and robust financial governance.

Key responsibilities

• Own group‑wide budgeting, forecasting and five‑year planning cycles, establishing standardised KPIs across all business units.
• Partner with site leads and finance heads to challenge assumptions, review profitability and drive cash generation.
• Manage the end‑to‑end audit process for multiple legal entities and oversee tax compliance, insurance and risk management.
• Prepare executive and board packs that translate commercial drivers, risks and growth opportunities.
• Lead initiatives to automate reporting, streamline data collection and upgrade finance processes.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Proven experience in manufacturing, engineering or other complex multi‑site environments.
• Strong blend of FP&A, business partnering and core financial control, including coordination of multi‑entity external audits.
• Confident communicator able to influence senior operational leaders and board members.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel capability.
• Financial modelling experience.
• Familiarity with Business Intelligence (BI) tools and automated reporting systems.

What we offer

• Competitive salary £80,000‑£100,000, dependent on experience.
• Hybrid working model – 2‑3 days per week in Central London office.
• Occasional travel to operating sites in Belfast, the Isle of Man and the North West.
