Financial Controller (Future Finance Director) – London

About the role

We are seeking a Financial Controller who will become a future Finance Director for a fast‑growing consultancy based in Central London. Working closely with the owners, senior leadership and a fractional CFO, you will influence commercial decisions and help build a scalable finance function.

Key responsibilities

• Produce monthly management accounts and commercial reports.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management.
• Provide financial analysis to support strategic business decisions.
• Improve systems, reporting and financial controls.
• Collaborate with operational stakeholders across the business.
• Coach and develop a small finance team.
• Help build a finance function that can scale with growth.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
• Commercially curious with a strategic and hands‑on mindset.
• Enjoys improving systems and processes.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with non‑finance stakeholders.
• Ambitious to take on senior finance leadership in the coming years.
