Financial Controller – Global Advertising Group

About the role

We are partnering with a leading global advertising, media and PR group to find a Financial Controller for their UK finance function. Based in Central London with hybrid working, you will support multiple corporate entities across a complex, multi‑entity environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting for several UK entities.
• Lead group consolidation and reporting, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
• Review and sign‑off management accounts, balance‑sheet reconciliations and high‑volume journal entries.
• Provide technical accounting guidance across the finance team.
• Manage forecasting, annual budgeting cycles and coordinate submissions across agency teams.
• Oversee working‑capital reporting, cash‑flow forecasting and inter‑company reconciliations.
• Act as primary finance contact for agencies, resolving reporting queries.
• Support and review the work of an offshore finance team.
• Lead process‑improvement initiatives to strengthen reporting controls.
• Deliver UK statutory accounts and reconcile US GAAP with UK GAAP.
• Manage the external audit process and liaise with auditors.
• Oversee tax reporting, including VAT and PSA filings.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified accountant with audit practice experience.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience in financial reporting and group consolidations.
• Proven ability to work in a multi‑entity, international environment.
