Financial Controller – Hybrid (2-3 days per week)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join a well‑established, fast‑growing business. The role offers high visibility, hybrid working and the chance to shape financial processes and strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and enhance the financial control framework across the division.
• Maintain balance‑sheet integrity through reconciliations and reviews.
• Manage technical accounting matters and ensure compliance with accounting standards and group policies.
• Own the year‑end audit process and act as the primary contact for external auditors.
• Support internal audit activities and drive completion of audit actions.
• Oversee treasury functions, cash‑flow forecasting and working‑capital management.
• Handle tax matters, including VAT compliance.
• Drive improvements in finance systems, controls and reporting processes.
• Produce insightful reports and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
• Lead, develop and mentor the Financial Control team.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong technical accounting background.
• Minimum three years post‑qualification experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance role.
• Proven leadership and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Proactive, hands‑on approach with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels.
• Experience in a complex or fast‑paced environment.

What we offer

• Salary £70,000‑£80,000 per year
• £5,000 car allowance
• Approximately 15% performance bonus
