Financial Controller – Hybrid, Manchester

About the role

We are seeking a Financial Controller to join a listed technology company based in Manchester city centre. The business is rapidly evolving into an AI‑enabled service provider, and the finance function is at the forefront of this transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain strong financial control and ensure accurate reporting.
• Lead FP&A activities, providing commercial insight and decision support.
• Partner with business units to drive performance and strategic initiatives.
• Manage and develop a finance team of six professionals.
• Collaborate with the CFO on financial strategy and governance.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant with solid experience in financial control and reporting.
• Proven capability in commercial finance, FP&A and business partnering.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Curious mindset with a desire to learn and explore AI applications in finance.
