Financial Controller – Insurance Finance

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join a fast‑growing insurance platform in London. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will own the finance function, drive commercial insight and support the company’s rapid expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end and year‑end financial reporting processes under IFRS.
• Oversee financial controls, reconciliations and audit management.
• Prepare statutory and regulatory reports for the UK regulator and the US parent company.
• Manage insurance finance operations, including premium and claims accounting.
• Deliver budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis to support strategic decisions.
• Drive process‑improvement and finance transformation initiatives.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to enable business growth.

Required profile

• ACA‑qualified accountant with Big 4 experience.
• University‑level degree.
• Background in insurance, MGA or broker environments, or experience in insurance audit.
• Strong technical accounting and regulatory knowledge.
• Commercially minded with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high‑growth business.
