Financial Controller

About the role

We are partnering with an SME manufacturing business in Warwickshire to hire a Financial Controller on a permanent basis. You will own the full finance function, providing strategic insight to the senior management team and supporting board‑level decision making.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the company’s financial strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
• Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts and year‑end financial statements.
• Ensure timely statutory reporting and compliance with VAT, PAYE, Corporation Tax and HMRC requirements.
• Maintain and enhance financial systems and controls, including ERP suitability and multi‑currency cash management.
• Lead, coach and develop the Finance and Credit Control teams, conducting regular 1:1s and performance reviews.
• Support commercial activities such as supplier relationships, acquisition integration and operational efficiency projects.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar financial controller role.
• Proven experience working in an SME environment, preferably within manufacturing.
