Financial Controller

About the role

We are recruiting an experienced Financial Controller for a well‑established, growing business based in Romford. Reporting directly to the board, you will work independently to deliver accurate financial reporting, enhance processes and support the company’s strategic growth.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and produce financial analysis for directors.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management activities.
• Oversee purchase and sales ledger functions.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Liaise with external accountants, auditors and HMRC.
• Maintain and improve financial controls and procedures.
• Support strategic and commercial decision‑making.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
• Previous experience in a Finance Manager, Financial Controller or senior finance role.
• Strong organisational and communication abilities.
• Hands‑on approach with meticulous attention to detail.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Knowledge of accounting systems.
