Financial Controller

About the role

Iconic Resourcing is seeking a Financial Controller to lead a major systems implementation and take ownership of day‑to‑day finance for a fast‑growing engineering and industrial services group.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the rollout of the group’s field service and job‑management ERP system, including configuration, data migration, testing and training.
• Build and manage integration between the ERP and accounting platforms, ensuring accurate data flows for invoicing, purchase orders, job costs and ledger postings.
• Own the month‑end close process, produce monthly management accounts with variance commentary and manage the year‑end audit.
• Oversee job costing and work‑in‑progress, ensuring correct labour, material and subcontract costs are captured and revenue is recognised appropriately.
• Develop cash‑flow forecasts, manage working capital, debtor and supplier payments, and act as a trusted business partner to operational managers.
• Lead and develop a finance team of around ten professionals, reporting directly to the CFO.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Proven experience in finance leadership, managing a finance team and delivering month‑end close.
• Experience delivering ERP or finance system implementations.
• Strong analytical ability and confidence presenting to senior leadership and investors.
