Financial Controller

About the role

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller to join a well‑established, purpose‑driven organisation at a pivotal stage of its development. The role will lead the finance function, provide strategic financial insight and ensure robust financial governance across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the day‑to‑day finance function and finance team
• Deliver accurate and insightful management reporting
• Drive budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities
• Partner with senior stakeholders to support strategic decisions
• Strengthen financial controls, governance and risk management
• Produce monthly management accounts, forecasts and financial analysis
• Lead annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting processes
• Manage cash flow, treasury and working capital activities
• Oversee audit, statutory reporting and regulatory compliance
• Support finance systems development and process improvement initiatives

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Significant experience leading a finance function
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise
• Proven experience managing audits, budgets and financial controls
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and business partnering skills
• Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical and financial modelling capability
