Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join a fast‑growing West Sussex business. Working closely with the Finance Director, you will help shape the finance function as the company expands organically and through acquisitions.

Key responsibilities

• Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts.
• Lead robust financial reporting and analysis for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support the acquisition strategy with financial due‑diligence and integration planning.
• Develop and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Manage the annual budgeting and year‑end closing processes.
• Build strong relationships across the business and with external partners.

Required profile

• Full accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• Proven experience in a similar senior finance role.
• Background in a professional services environment is desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for developing staff.
