Financial Controller – Lead Finance Function

If you’re looking for a Financial Controller role where you can have a genuine say in how the business develops, this could be a very good move. The ONE Group is working with an established and growing business in March to recruit an experienced Financial Controller.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of the monthly management accounts and month‑end process.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and scenario‑planning activities.
• Manage cash‑flow forecasts and working capital.
• Provide insight into customer and product profitability, margins, pricing and investment.
• Produce KPI reporting for the leadership team.
• Support audit, statutory reporting, VAT and corporation tax requirements.
• Lead, coach and develop the finance team.
• Work closely with the Managing Director and wider business to support future growth.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) with strong experience in management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and financial control.
• Relevant experience in manufacturing, FMCG or food manufacturing.
• Confidence to work closely with operational and commercial teams.
• Ability to dive into detail while keeping the bigger picture in view.

What we offer

• Salary of £65,000 – £75,000 per year, depending on experience.
