Financial Controller – London (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Financial Controller to lead the finance function of a fast‑growing social commerce and e‑commerce business. Reporting directly to the founders, you will own the monthly management accounts, drive financial analysis and provide commercial insight to support the next stage of growth.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and own the monthly management accounts, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
• Produce clear financial analysis, commentary and performance reports for senior leadership.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and maintain rolling forecasts.
• Manage cash‑flow forecasting, working capital and short‑term funding requirements.
• Oversee accounts payable, receivable, credit control, banking and payroll.
• Work with external accountants, auditors and tax advisers to deliver statutory accounts and audits.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
• Previous experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or senior accountant in a fast‑growing SME.
• Experience in a marketing agency, e‑commerce, technology or other service‑led business is advantageous.
• Strong management accounting, budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow expertise.
• Comfortable working directly with founders and senior stakeholders.
