Financial Controller (Maternity Cover)

About the role

This is a fixed‑term opportunity to lead the finance function of a well‑established brand activation and retail marketing agency in South West London while covering maternity leave. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will ensure continuity and drive financial performance during the contract period.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of month‑end management accounts and reporting.
• Manage and develop a small finance team.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management processes.
• Oversee statutory year‑end accounts and coordinate the audit process.
• Maintain and strengthen financial controls across the business.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to provide financial insight and support.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or senior Finance Manager, preferably in agency, media or professional services.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a small finance team.
• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) preferred.
• Ready to start immediately or on short notice.
