Financial Controller – Part‑time (24 hrs/week)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join our team on a part‑time permanent basis in Redhill. The role involves overseeing all accounting functions, ensuring compliance and delivering insightful financial reports to support strategic decisions. You will work approximately 24 hours per week with flexible days and hours.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting cycle including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll.
• Prepare accurate monthly and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Conduct balance‑sheet reconciliations, account analysis and oversee month‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Forecast cash flow, manage cash‑management activities and maintain banking relationships.
• Develop, implement and monitor internal controls to protect company assets.
• Utilise Xero to maintain records and improve reporting efficiency.
• Support budgeting and forecasting through variance analysis and financial insight.
• Ensure payroll is processed in compliance with relevant regulations.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of accounting standards such as GAAP, IFRS and SOX.
• Proven experience producing financial reports, reconciliations and analysis.
• Experience in a construction or CIS environment is a plus.
• High level of accuracy, organisational skills and attention to detail.
