Financial Controller (Part‑time, 24 hrs/week)

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Financial Controller to join our team on a part‑time permanent basis in Redhill. Working around 24 hours per week, you will oversee the full spectrum of accounting activities and provide the financial insight needed to drive strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Conduct balance‑sheet reconciliations, account analysis and lead month‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Forecast cash flow, handle cash‑management tasks and maintain banking relationships.
• Develop, implement and monitor internal controls to protect company assets and ensure compliance.
• Utilise Xero to maintain records, improve reporting efficiency and support budgeting and forecasting cycles.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS) and SOX compliance.
• Proven experience producing financial reports, performing reconciliations and delivering financial analysis.
• Detail‑oriented with excellent organisational skills and high accuracy.
• Experience in a construction or CIS environment is a plus.
