Financial Controller – £85k + Bonus

About the role

Halliday Marx is partnering with an international media business to hire a Financial Controller who will lead group consolidation, reporting and audit activities across multiple legal entities worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee group consolidation and preparation of monthly and annual financial statements across multiple legal entities globally, including commentary on key variances.
• Coordinate monthly closing activities to achieve a three‑day close and produce full P&L, balance sheet and cash‑flow statements.
• Manage the annual statutory audit, liaising with local auditors and coordinating all local audits.
• Lead a global finance team responsible for statutory accounting, compliance and payroll posting.
• Develop and implement global accounting policies to align all entities to a single accounting standard.
• Drive process simplification and optimisation through greater reliance on systems.
• Handle IFRS16 lease accounting, transfer pricing calculations and payroll reconciliation for all entities.

Required profile

• ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent.
• Proven experience managing finance staff and multiple legal entities.
• Experience coordinating statutory audits and handling IFRS16 accounting.
• Strong background in transfer pricing and financial consolidation.
