Financial Controller – Real Estate (London)

About the role

Our client is a well‑capitalised international real‑assets investment platform that is expanding across the UK and Europe. They are looking for a Financial Controller to own the finance function for a portfolio of UK entities and joint ventures, reporting directly to the Finance Director.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of financial reporting across multiple UK entities and joint ventures.
• Prepare timely monthly management accounts, consolidations and performance reports.
• Oversee the preparation of annual statutory accounts and manage the external audit process.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting and long‑term financial planning activities.
• Provide financial analysis for major development and investment projects.
• Support board‑level reporting, investment decisions and strategic initiatives.
• Manage treasury operations, funding requirements and cash‑flow across the portfolio.
• Identify opportunities to enhance controls, improve reporting processes and drive operational efficiencies.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) with proven experience as a Financial Controller or senior finance leader in real estate.
• Strong expertise in IFRS and statutory reporting.
• Experience working within complex group or multi‑entity structures.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and develop finance team members.
