Financial Controller – Senior Finance Role

About the role

Robertson Bell is partnering with a large, complex organisation to appoint a Financial Controller. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will lead financial control across a dynamic business that is undergoing continued development and change.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the month‑end close process and produce timely, accurate management accounts.
• Own cash‑forecasting and support treasury activities.
• Oversee debt management and credit control.
• Manage the preparation of financial statements and support the external audit cycle.
• Ensure compliance with financial reporting and regulatory requirements.
• Provide leadership, guidance and support to three direct reports.
• Act as a trusted deputy to the Director of Finance when required.

Required profile

• Recognised accountancy qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA).
• Strong experience in financial control, month‑end and year‑end processes.
• Excellent cash‑forecasting and treasury knowledge.
• Proven leadership and people‑management abilities.
• Strong communication skills and collaborative approach across a large organisation.
• Experience in a complex, regulated or multi‑site environment is beneficial.
• Commercially minded and confident in a fast‑moving environment.
