Financial Controller – UK Month‑End Reporting Lead

About the role

The company is a global marketing and creative services group that embeds dedicated finance teams inside client organisations. As Financial Controller you will own the UK month‑end close, drive process improvements and deliver clear, timely reporting for senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the UK monthly close, including balance‑sheet review (accruals, pre‑payments, pension, VAT).
• Standardise and simplify month‑end processes across multiple UK entities.
• Produce regional reporting packs with variance analysis and commentary.
• Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance throughout the reporting cycle.
• Partner with FP&A, Group Finance and Tax to align processes.
• Identify automation opportunities to streamline the close.
• Support the Finance Director during year‑end audit and liaise with auditors.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or equivalent).
• 5+ years experience in audit, financial control, month‑end reporting or process improvement.
• Proven track record of standardising financial processes across multiple entities.
• Strong month‑end close, reporting and variance analysis experience.
• Comfortable working with senior stakeholders across Operations, Finance, Transformation and regional leadership.
